Default Undecorating

Now is the much dreaded time of packing away all of the Christmas decorations that it seems we just drug out of the basement a few days ago! Boy did Christmas come and go fast this year!

I love to decorate for the holidays but I hate the task of putting it all away. I guess that is what I will be doing this weekend though.

I am trying to switch everything over to plastic totes. I bought a few last year to pack away my Christmas decorations and I am going to buy a few more this year. The cardboard boxes just don't hold up well enough in my basement and besides the basement is kind of damp so things end up smelling musty if they are kept in cardboard boxes. The totes keep things from smelling musty.

I imagine it's going to take me an entire day to get everything packed away. I went all-out with the secorations this year lol. Oh well, the kids really enjoyed it.

The plastic totes are something I have been buying several of each payday. I like them better than boxes, because not only do they keep the musty odor out, they also keep out spiders, like the brown recluse that just love to hide in things like boxes.

I also like the plastic totes because they last forever, and because what you store in them is kept completely dust free, which isnt the case with cardboard boxes as the dust seems to manage to find its way in.

I have a huge plastic tote that is on wheels, which makes it easy to move and it is large enough that I can store up to 8 blankets plus sheets etc in it at one time.

There seems to be a plastic tote out there for just about anything you can imagine.
