Default Turn Plastic Grocery Bags into a Rug

The Brady family decided to recycle plastic grocery bags into a rug, after seeing several different ways of using the bags on an online site. They used 60 bags in making their rug, but of course it's up to you to decide the size rug you would like to make.

When friends and neighbors heard the Brady family needed crafting materials for a special project, two-handled white plastic bags magically appeared on their doorstep in the Hilton area of Newport News, Va.

I have crocheted plastic garbage bags into rugs in the past, but this is the first I've seen using plastic bags in this fashion. It looks to me like it would be extremely easy and the rug is apparently very durable and certainly easy to clean. I'm thinking that my little granddaughter would love to have one in her room.

Thank you for this neat idea. The materials to make this type
of rug are way cheaper than trying to purchase a new rug. I
love this idea and may use it in the near future. I will also pass
it on to my family and friends. They will love this one very much.

I brought the picture forward from the story because I was so surprised at what it looked like, it sure wasnt what I thought it would be.

Kudo to anyone that can recycle what would normally be thrown away into something that is useful and easy to look at.
