Default Tips to decorate cheaply

Decorating your home does not have to strain your budget. instead, you can take your inspiration from the pages of an interior decorating magazine spread and then draw upon cheap or free resources to recreate the look within the rooms of your home.

Tips to decorate cheaply:

1.Paint walls a warm color, or cool paint colors, it adds life to your home.

2.Look at the decorative pieces that you already have and try them out in different rooms and in different groupings to see where they will work best for you.

3.Check online and in your local paper for any upcoming garage or yard sales to find decorative items at a fraction of the retail price.

4.Go to the dollar stores or thrift store to find pictures, fake greenery, rugs or other items at an cheap price.

5.Get used books at thrift stores to find art or photography books that you can cut the pictures from and frame in discount frames from the dollar store.

6.Cover old, worn out furniture with decorative throws or slipcovers that you find on sale at a discount store.

If you don't have enough decor go to second hand shops or cheaper stores such as Family Dollar. Honest to goodness you can find great stuff without paying a ton of money for it!!!

One thing I do is in my kitchen where I have 3 or 4 sets of different colored placemats for the kitchen table and a few sets of different colored napkins. You would be surprised how just changing them every week can make a big difference.

It spices things up a bit and can give you a whole range of colors and textures to work with.

Another cheapy is simply changing the curtains in a room. I have a couple sets for each room and change them every few months. Sorta breaks up the boredom plus adds a splash of a different color to the room.

At times it is surprising at what a shopper can find at places like the dollar stores, second hand stores, yard sales and flea markets.

For just about any look that you want in your home you can get inspirations from interior design mags as well as tv shows or what ever. Inspiration is all around if you look hard enough.

I don't know how some manage to spend thousands on decorating their homes. That really amazes me. I know I can decorate a room nicely without needing to take out a bank loan or something like that.
