I came across an idea for decorating a teenage girls bedroom and thought it could help those of you with teenage daughters and the delimma of making their room appeal to them and their friends.

Buy some plain white wallpaper for one large wall. After it's applied to the wall, let your daughter create her own "art" for the space with colored markers or craft paint. She can create her own special space all on her own, with her own drawings, favorite sayings, etc. If she's not really artistic, she can have her friends visit and have them help her with the project.

If the idea of having to remove wallpaper doesn't appeal to you, try framing out some large poster boards, and let your child use these to decorate. This would be fun for her to do, while also playing up to her creative side.
