Summer is a great time to decorate. You can liven up your home with all sorts of ideas. The sun is out and the weather is nice. It's time to put away those drab winter and fall colors. Break out the plants, gardens and colors to liven up your summer décor.

One idea for summer decorating is to liven up your patio area. You can make a small patio garden. They're fun to have and keep up. Everyone loves the chance to garden a little. You can do container gardens for patio areas that are gorgeous and inexpensive. A popular patio garden is the romantic Tuscon Garden. Click here to read how Robin Svedi instructs you on how to have this type of garden.

Katie Sheridan also has some terrific ideas to share with readers about summer patio gardens. You can read her article by clicking here.

Default Summer decorating

I remember my grandmother doing her spring cleaning and changing all of her dark rugs, curtains, and bedding to fresh, bright, spring-like colors that seemed to bring the outside to the inside. She didn't just clean, she seemed to redecorate her home every spring and fall. This is a wonderful time of year to bring a freshness to your home, simply by changing a few things to lighter colors and fabrics. It can be done very inexpensively too. You can find lots of great rugs, curtains, and bedding at yard sales, or thrift shops, etc.
