Default Redecorating

I am going to be redecorating a couple of my rooms in the near future and one thing I have come up with is out with the old and replace it with a different arrangement.

For instance, I have a buffet in my dining room and am planning to give it to my daughter because I have had it forever and am just quite frankly tired of the same old furniture.

When the buffet is gone, it will be replaced with a table with a lamp and a candle and flower arrangement on it. This serves two purposes, one is that this big bulky piece of furniture will be gone, making more room in the dining room and the table with accessories will be a completely different look.

I am also getting rid of the mirror above the buffet and replacing it with a prettier one of a different shape. This will add more light to the room and will give a completely different appearance also.

A lot of our redecorating can be done very cheaply just by getting rid of the old and bringing in the different.

You are right Flippinout. You can change out just a few simple pieces that you have in a room and make it look like it has been totally re-done. Get a new lamp or wall hanging, things like that do make a difference.

People would really be amazed at how just a few simple changes to a room can completely change not only the look of the room but the feel of it as well. Most things that can be done in a room to accomplish this task dont even have to cost a great deal, it can be just a matter of switching a few pieces of furniture from room to room. I hope that you are able to get the look you want after your buffet is gone. Sounds sure like it is going to be beautiful.

Adding color can make a difference too. You don't necessarily have to paint however. You can use drapes on you windows to add new color. If you have a room with no windows that is ok too. Use a swag curtain and drap it over your mirror or around a doorway you will be amazed at the difference.

Color always adds to a room. If there is anything I hate worse is a dull lifeless room.

The color is right and its also bright and airy looking, its just the furniture that is the problem, its big and bulky and dark so it has to go.

With the new mirror and sconces on each side, and the smaller table below, it will bring on a completely different look.
