Default Rainy Day Crafts

Well we I live the weather was nice for a few days then it once again turned to crap. It's been raining on and off for the last week and a half now and it is miserable.

There really isn't a whole lot of things that can be done outside when it is like this. Because of this I got to thinking that it would be a great time to break out the craft boxes I have stored in the closet and see what kinds of things that we can all come up with here to decorate the bedrooms and the rest of the house.

No one knows yet that I am planning on this, though with everyone being stuck in the house it seems like it will be a good idea. Then afterwards we can play games or watch a movie or both.

I can't wait to see what kinds of decorations the kids come up with for their rooms or what ever room they wish to make something for.

I always make sure I have a ton of stuff in my craft cases. I always keep things like ribbon, elastic, scissors, tape, glue, hot glue gun and sticks, popsicle sticks, pins, paints and brushes, glitter as well as of course a ton of other things.

This is going to be a lot of fun for everyone here and I am looking forward to seeing the different kinds of things that everyone is going to create.

I always tend to make home made treats on rainy days.

I let the kids do it all,I just tell them what to do and watch them get busy, and when they are all done,we all have some home made cookies or cake or pie and sit and watch a movie together.

That is good family time to me,it gives us the opportunity to catch up on each others lives and have some family laughs.

That is also a great idea of something to do on miserable rainy days like we had. It's boring for kids to be stuck inside which is why having these ideas really comes in handy.

Now that we did our little rainy day crafts I have some great new and rather interesting things for the house.

There is now a new toothbrush holder which is covered in cotton balls, and spray painted pink which matches the bathroom.

I also have a couple of new picture frames to hang on the wall in the living room which match the furniture in there. Now I just need to find a way to get the pictures in there because they forgot to leave an opening for the picture to slide in.

All in all it was a great day. Even though it was raining out and no one would play everyone had a good time using their imaginations to create something new.
