Default Plants.

Plants not only add color and bring the outdoors in they help to raise the oxygen level in your home.

There is nothing like stale air. I have added several plants to my home recently and now it has a whole new feel to it.

I even feel happier when I walk into my kitchen which is where they are currently.

These are a cheap way to add to your homes decor and you can save even more by putting the clippings in water to start new plants.

Ivy's and spider plants are the easiest ones to start. You just take the spider babies and plop them in a glass of water and wait till they take off.

Once they have a good group of roots going take them and plant them in a nice little pot with some potting soil, water and watch them grow.

I love plants, as anyone who has been in my home would plainly see. They do clean the air of over 100 toxins, and will help the winter doldrums just by being there. Seeing the green when all is white outside is very refreshing indeed.

I have about 15 different kinds of houseplants and do get a lot of starters off of most of them, and the others, have to be split after they have gotten so big and need to be repotted giving you even more plants.

I give away about 50 plants each year because I get that many starters off of my main plants. Plus, I give away many of my outside plants also when they have spread too much.

My house plants go out on my deck in the summer time and that adds a whole new ambiance to that area. Its very calming to sit out there in the evening surrounded by all the plants.

Anyone with breathing problems, plants can be a help also, with the added oxygen in your home. This is one thing I know from personal experience.

I love my indoor plants. They seriously brighten up the place. Though I only have a couple of plants but soon hopefully I will have more.

Today I bought a bunch of different colored tulips for the outside of the house. I plan on planting them around the mail box. I think that they will look really good out there and add a nice eye catcher to those passing bye.

I do want to get more plants for inside. I am thinking of a rubber tree plant ( I have always loved those), a spider plant, aloe vera plant and more. I am thankful that we don't have breathing problems but as we get older these things happen so having those plants around and growing nicely will be beautiful and helpful.

This plant is called a Diffenbachia and is one that I just added to my house plants yesterday.

The Diffenbachia is a plant that is considered to be delicate but is easily grown and maintained.

This plant requires high light areas, moist soil, temps above 50 degrees, and you only need to fertilize it every 2 to 4 months.

Diffenbachia is an oxygen generating plant, plus it purifies the air of any impurities. Plus this plant adds humidity to room air during dry conditions. So you pretty much have a very helpful plant on your hands when you have the diffenbachia.
