Default old paint

We all have paint in our basement left over from rooms we have painted, I found a good way to use the unwanted paint.

I had one room that still needed painted, so I tried mixing together my old paints, I got a very pretty purplish color, had enough to do 2 rooms, so used the rest on my utility room the rooms ended up looking real nice.

Using old paint in this way works well as long as you are sure to only mix like kinds of paint together otherwise the paint will not mix well and can cause problems.

Only mix oil based paints with oil based paints etc.

I have done this before and use the paint to paint my basement walls which brightened the basement up a lot.

When the cans were empty, I washed them out, drew designs in them then used a nail and hammer to outline the design and used the cans on my deck with candles in them for added lighting. The design on the can really shows up nicely and the added safety feature of the candle being in the cans was a real plus.
