I was watching the Nate Berkus show tonight and they have a segment called Shop Your own Home. For one woman, Nate took a bunch of tables that had been unused in her home and made shelves out of them.
They did this by using a whole table for a desk, and other smaller tables, cut in half and placed legs forward on the wall above the desk for shelving.
This is a very good way to take unused furniture and turn it into something that can be used daily in your home.
Of course, you may not prefer the purple, but paint is inexpensive and this could be a real wow factor in a kids room or your rec room.
