Default Mirrors

Using mirrors to help decorate your home is something that a lot of people are doing. Mirrors not only brighten a room up a good bit but they also make smaller rooms feel and appear to be much larger than they really are.

Mirrors can be expensive though they can often be found at flea markets, yard sales and so on for fairly inexpensive prices. Using small mirrors as well as larger mirrors to decorate is the way to go.

You can also have pictures, patterns, names and what not engraved on the mirrors to help with the decorating of any room in the home.

There are a lot of different ways to use mirrors in decorating your home. All you have to do is use your imagination and you will be surprised at the final product.

I have a large very ornate mirror with a lot of fancy trim around the edge of it that I stood in one corner of my dining room and sat a basket of fruit shaped candles in front of it.

It not only looks great there and adds a little pzazz to the room but also helps make the room a little lighter by reflecting light from the kitchen.

This mirror is also handy if I want to check how my shoes look too as it is floor level.

You are so right, there are so many things you can do with mirrors to decorate and brighten a room.

A cousin of mine used to like in this tiny little apartment. She put mirrors up all along the top half of the room and it really did make the room feel a lot bigger than it actually was. It looked really nice. I'd hate to have had to spend a lot of time in there if I was having a bad hair day but other than that it was great!

I knew someone who had done their entire dining room in mirrors. From floor to ceilling. Let me tell ya that room was seriously confusing. I would not suggest anyone doing this in any room of the house.

Being in her dining room really messed with your head and your vision. Of course the room looked HUGE, but it still was not worth all the confusion or the headache that I normally walked away with after dining there.

Though if you don't go over board mirrors really are a great way to decorate just about any room of a home.
