Default Indoor gardens.

Keep that spring time feel all year long by using any container in your home and plant something in it.

Gloxinia are love flowers that love humidity. African Violets are beautiful and love bright light. In the short days of the year just set your plants near a lamp.

Primroses are inexpensive and smell wonderful. Keep in a cool room out of direct sunlight. Mixing several colors will give you a nice display for any table.

I like to use potted flower and off set them on a different colored table cover.

Default Re: Indoor gardens.

Indoor gardens are especially great during the drab and dreary winter months when everything is either all white outside or that drab brown look when the snow has melted.

I have all of my house plants in my living room baywindow, in my kitchen, and my office. That way, we have splashes of green and other colors to brighten up our living areas during the winter months.

This time of year though, the plants start looking a little shabby from being inside all winter long and once they are finally able to be put on the deck, they bounce back in just a couple of weeks and that way too, with them on the deck, they not only act as decorations out there but also make it seem cooler on the deck than it actually is. It must be that forest effect going on that gives the feeling of coolness on a hot summer day.

Plus, having house plants inside will clear hundreds of different things out of the air and make the air you breathe much healthier and in the winter time, anything you can do to make your living area healthier is a plus.
