How to Follow Trends Without the Expense

From season to season trends change. The big bright couch and matching chair you bought last year may not be "in" this year. Trying to keep up can be very expensive. Instead of throwing out the old and buying new, try adding some inexpensive accessories to your existing furniture and deco. Add a few pillows to your couch in the color thats in season. Don't try to paint every wall in your house a new color, do one room instead. Change the curtains or just add the new color in a valance on top. Paint your furniture or add a cover. Dark woods are in, silver instead of gold, dark greens and blues and sisal rugs just to name a few. If you decide to change a few pieces of furniture, curtains, etc. to whats in style now, store what you already have if you can because whats old now may be hot next season.
