Default Holiday decorating on a budget.

Plan your holiday decorating before you start to decorate.
Decide on a theme and go from there. I found this idea for
garland. Take some felt and cut out christmas shapes and
then string them together on fishing line. Cheap and beautiful
all at once.

You can make cheap candle decorations by putting tealights
in empty glass jars. Decorate the jars with ribbons or whatever
you desire.

You can also take the pictures that you have hanging on your
walls and wrap them like you were giving them as presents. Just
hang them back on the wall for some festive appeal.

The holidays are my favorite time of year. Decorating becomes a
hassle sometimes because I have the same things to use from years
past. If you are like me you have many broken items when you unpack
your boxes every year. This frustrates me and I can't always afford to
replace them.

The ideas above will help make the holidays less stessful and my home
more festive. Have fun and happy holidays.

I really like your idea of making garland using felt cut into Christmas shapes and then strung. This is something I could do with the kids and it would be a lot less messy than stringing popcorn. They will love doing this. Thanks
