Default Have a dark room and cant afford to put in a new window?

If you have a dark room in your house and you cant afford to put in a window, heres an idea for you to try.

What you will need: A mini blind, a set of curtains, and a 50 string set of indoor clear lights, a staple gun, and a screw driver for installing the blind, plus a hammer for putting up the curtain rod.

First pick the area in which you want to install your fake window, and put up the mini blind. Then decide how low you want the blind to come and with a pencil mark the lower area plus where the sides of the blind will come to. Then retract the mini blind to the top and install the set of lights within the marks with the staple gun.

Run the mini blind back down, install the curtains, plug the lights in and there you have a light source that will look like a real window.

Plus, you will also from this, get an idea of whether or not this is where you would actually want a real window later on.

I would have never thought of that!! What a great idea for a room with no windows. I have a friend that has a room like that, I am going to tell her how to fix it now..LOL
