Functional decorating.

When we decorate our homes we usually have a particular feel or statement in mind.

Some of us choose our decorations based on things that we like. Themes are quite popular.

I myself love chickens and cows. Now if I wanted to redo my kitchen I would not want to have a ton of nicknacks all over the place.

What I would like is to have things that are themed to my liking that were functional in the kitchen.

I have purchased salt and pepper shakers and oil and vinegar dispensers that have chickens on them.

These can be used and still have the decorative effect that I want. If it won't be used there will be a special place in the kitchen to display those items but it will be small and out of the way of day to day use of the kitchen.
