Default Dressing up dining room chairs.

With the holidays coming up and company coming during them, of course you want everything to look as nice as possible.

My dining room chairs had cloth seats and they were beginning to look a little shabby and outdated, so I recovered them for a more uptodate look.

Recovering dining room chair seats is very easy to do. All you need to accomplish this is a flat head screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and a staple gun, and a pair of scissors. And of course the new material you want to recover them with.

First of all, remove the seat from the chair, then remove the old cloth covering. Next, carefully cut the new material to fit with about 3 inches of material larger than the seat itself so that the material can be brought to the bottom of the chair and stapled.

Be sure to pull the material taut before stapling and when you have the new material stapled onto the seat, replace the seat on the chair and voila, you have a whole new look. And you will be ready for the holiday company.
