Default Decorating a holiday table.

For several years now, we (my grandson and I) have been decorating my dining room table for the festive holiday season.

We use the whole table top and begin by laying down a layer of white quilt batting in the middle of the table, making a flat surface on which the town can be placed. This is surrounded by white poofy white quilt batting that makes hills of snow and smaller snow drifts.

We use small Christmas trees, both decorated and undecorated, then we add the small houses and minature people. With this is the minature cars which are parked in front of some of the houses.

We use larger Santa Claus sleighs in which small decorated packages are placed. And, of course, Santa Claus himself is standing beside the sleigh, and there are also a couple of snowmen added to the mix.

When everything has been placed we sprinkle the whole area with white glitter to give the whole scene the look of real snow.

Our little houses are lit up and overall it is quite the little Christmas Scene.
