Default Create your own headboard.

Dont have a headboard for your bed, and your budget wont allow the purchase of one right now? Well dont fret. You do have other options and very inexpensive ones at that.

Choose a shape for the headboard first then make a stencil of the shape you prefer. Cut the stencil out, then take contact paper and lay it out on a large table. Tape strips of contact paper together with painters tape, then lay the stencil on top of the contact paper.

Trace around the stencil then carefully cut out your headboard shape.

When applying the contact paper, always use a squeegee to push out air bubbles as you apply the contact paper.

With so many patterns available on contact paper these days, you can design the headboard of your choice to fit any decorating scheme.

And if you like, you could use decorative molding cut to frame the contact paper headboard for a more realistic look.

Very good idea, if you have a old headboard you can also wrap material around it to make it fresh again.

Thats a great idea with the contact paper. I have seen headboards just painted on the wall and they turn out really nice too. I might have to try something like that when I get a chance.
