A little extra lighting.

In my spare time, I make birdhouses for indoor use. Many of the ones I have made and given for gifts are being used as night lights in childrens rooms or in rooms occupied by older people. These bird houses seem to be very enjoyed by all.

On this birdhouse, I have ivy running up the pole with yellow and white flowers surrounded by ivy on the bottom platform. The birdhouse itself has moss on the roof and as you can see, it has its own trellis covered with blue roses and its own little white picket fence. Inside the fence it has a planter by the front step that is filled with red and blue roses.

This one is for my friend Beth for Christmas. She has already seen it and is very happy with it.

These birdhouses can be used to light a dark hallway or as a little extra lite in a dark room at night so that no one falls getting from one room to the other.

That is really pretty flippin!!! I want one...LOL You could even put Christmas things on it for the Christmas season. I love it!!

Thank you, and thank you for the suggestion. I just got an order for a birdhouse with a Cleveland Browns theme.

The birdhouse itself will be painted, of course, in the Cleveland Browns colors, with the goal post behind the house.

The main theme on the bottom will be helmets and a minature jersey or two. Small ivy will decorate the post with the usual lighting to highlight it all.

One thing about these bird houses, they can be decorated to match any theme and as I said, it can be used as extra lighting in a childs room, and what little boy wouldnt like the football or race car themes.

I wish I had time to do things like that but I just don't. I work two jobs and have three kids to take of so that doesn't leave me with many opportunities to do crafting. Before I worked, the kids and I always had some kind of project going on.

You could also make those with your local schools mascot. That would be a hit.

Well, this one took me 3 years to get done, I had to make time, but at least I finally got it done.

Thanks for the suggestion about school mascots, thats a great idea. And the kids could use them for night lights.

You did a very nice job on that birdhouse it is very pretty, where is mine? JUst kidding, it is very nice I am sure she will love it. They do look real nice on anyone's porch.

Those birdhouses are very beautiful, and they truely would be helpful in darker areas of the house.

I would love to have something like this in my home. Though I would need two of them. One with Coke-a-Cola stuff on it for my living room and one with Scooby Doo on it for my bedroom.

Seems like you have yourself a great hit here. I bet everyone you have given one to has been extremely pleased with it.

Thank you, and yes everyone has liked them, but I do hate giving them away after I make them, I would like to keep them all lol

A Scooby one could really be cute. There are already ideas floating around in my head for that one lol.
