1 Watch television shows, read books, and look through magazines.

2.Paint is the cheapest way to really change a room.

3.To add pictures to your walls, look through old art books or photograph books. Buy a cheap frame to put it in and you will have beautiful artwork for a fraction of the cost.

4.Find slipcovers for your couches.

5.Hit your local Dollar Tree for some great buys on things to make your home more inviting.

6.Buy large pillows to use as extra seating.

On top of these ideas you can add a few more. Paint may change a room completely and is a cheap decorating fix.

You could also free hand some animals or flowers on you walls or buy some stencils and do it that way.

Sponging another color onto the existing color could add some real flare to an otherwise boring room.

I did buy covers for my sofas but still add an aphgan or blanket for color as many couch covers are bland. You could also buy some fabric and seam the edges after cutting that appropriate size square and use that on the furniture also. I like to put it on in the diamond so its fancier looking.

You can also purchase fabric in the colors you choose to cover things like tables or furniture if your good with a needle and thread.

I have done this many time in my home and I now have a collection of choices for any time I get the whim to change the appearence of our home.

Some materials can be expensive, but if you shop around and check out yard sales, flea markets and so on you can also find some at some really great prices.

Also the computer is a wonderful thing and can be used to help decorate your home. Printing pictures is a great way to decorate your home and add the splashes of colors that you want. I have used my printer and computer to design a stencil border for my living room which is decorated in Coke-a-Cola items. The border is red and white with the wave that you find on coke products. It looks quite nice in there and worked out perfectly.

Of course using the internet you can find a million different ways to redecorate your home with out forcing you to spend your life savings or traveling to a dozen different places to get different items.

I have one room in my home that is used just for game night and we took games that werent in the best of shape or missing pieces and nailed them to the wall. This looks really great in the game room. We even glued some of the game pieces to the boards to make them even more real.

There millions of different ways you can decorate your home with little to no cost. All it takes is a bit of time and creativity and you can come up with some truely unique and beautiful ideas to make everyone jealous!!
