Default What is an Estate Sale.

Although similar to a garage sale, or an auction, an Estate Sale is used to sell off a deceased persons personal belongs and property. And Estate Sales can last for several days as opposed to Auctions which usually only last one day.

A lot of antique dealers go to Estate Sales especially when the person was older to look for good deals on antiques, etc.

Usually, Estate Sales are advertised in your local newspapers, and, you can also go online to find Estate Sales in your area.

There are companies that take care of the Estate Sales for people and if you know the names of these companies, you can go to their websites also to find Estate Sales.

Usually on the last day of an Estate Sale, the remaining items are sold at considerably lower prices.

Estate Sales can be just the thing if you are in the market for furniture, or memorbilia, or jewelry. A lot of great bargins can be found at Estate Sales.

I enjoy going to estate sales. You can get a lot of items there because they are usually selling everything. I have bought items such as shovels, tools, electronics and even towels. Unlike the garage sales, where people hold on to stuff. They usually have a lot of people at them if you get there early.

I love going to sales like these, you can often find boxes filled with items that no one wants to bother with.......and find lots of little "treasures" in them. Usually they're willing to get rid of these for a dollar or two, I've gotten some very nice additions to my craft supplies in these boxes, I'm sure no one realized that I would have paid a lot more for the contents!
