Default Storm postpones auction

I didn't realize that here was supposed to be an auction going on here in my area, though because of the harsh storms we had just a short time ago the auction was put on hold.

I did learn that one of the reasons the auction was postponed was that in the area there was a whole lot of damage because of downed trees, downed power lines, property damage and more.

It is better to have things like this postponed for another day and time to ensure that everyone is safe.

I know that just in my neighborhood there were trees down every where, power lines were down in many places. We just had some really bad storms around here.

I agree that it is much better to postpone things of this nature for a short time than to take the chance of someone getting hurt.

We had even more damage in our local area and people are still cleaning up their properties from the damage this massive wind storm caused.

Some of the wait time would probably be to assure that there is no roof damage or other damage to the property that is being auctioned off. And the rest of the wait time would be to give neighbors time to clean up their properties which could have a bearing on the sale of the auctioned property if neighboring properties dont also look good.

First impressions can make or break a sale so you have to do what you have to do to make sure the house's first impression is up to par. That all begins from the curb. People see the neighborhood and the exterior of the house first. If they don't like what they see they will drive on by! Giving people time to get things cleaned up was a good idea! Also the safety issue was an important matter too.

If you think about it, how many times have you driven down the street and thought to yourself, this is a scary neighborhood or this is a really nice neighborhood. You get the impression in the first instance that all of the houses are dumps and in the second instance you imagine that the houses are all elegant and beautiful inside. You think those things and yet you have never stepped foot inside of any of the homes. You don't know what any of the houses are like except for what you can see and you don't know the people in the neighborhood either. Yet, you form an opinion almost instantly. It's natural, we all do that. Thats why preparing for first impressions is so important.
