How to locate real estate auctions

When we were attempting to find a home to purchase for our daughter, we were looking and it seemed that were just werent finding anything really.

Though thanks to this forum, and some great responses to my questions, we were able to locate several real estate auctions going on in our area that were were finally able to find her a home that would fit her needs.

The best way to locate real estate auctions and the easiest is to do some research online. You can also contact real estate agents as they also know when and where auctions are going to be held.

Some times real estate auctions are also listed in the local papers. Though this is not always the case. Also often times when there is going to be a home which is going to be auctioned off, there is a sign posted on the property, and it usally says when and where. So keep your eyes open for these types of signs as well when your looking for a real estate auction.

Friends and family are also great ways to locate these auctions. They can all keep their eyes open for you and help you locate an auction in the area.

In some cases you can even contact your local sheriffs department to find out when and where a home is going to be auctioned off, if your intrested in a certain home that has been posted for auction.
