Default The Rewards of House Flipping

You know the financial rewards of house flipping. You can make some serious dough if you know what you are doing. But there are other rewards that come into play as well.

To take a rundown house and make it a beautiful home is very rewarding personally.

When you look at a house and see all of the possibilities, envision what it could become and then bring it to fruition, it's an amazing feeling.

Here is what one man who flips houses says about his experience.

Quote:
"When you get done at the end of the day ... you really feel like you accomplished something. You've taken a place that was basically not livable and turned it into a really nice home for somebody," he said. "There's a satisfaction in that way beyond making a profit on it. Yeah, it's definitely worth it. As far as I'm concerned, it would be worth it if I broke even."
There is a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. Oh and did I mention the money! lol

Default Re: The Rewards of House Flipping

The gentleman is correct when he said their was more to flipping a house. It a matter of pride and accomplishment. All my flips are in a sale price range up to $145,000. The last one that I just finished is one that I think I'm the most proud of. I haven't sold it yet, but for $87,500 how many homes do you see that has Crown molding in the living room, wainescotting and chair rail in the kitchen. This home is just like a new home now and when I started it was terrible, you just can't believe how bad it look. But now it is a first time home buyers dream home. Every time I go out to check on it I still think how beautiful it turned out. I feel kind of like an artis might feel when they have finished a master piece. I think to myself man this is pretty cool, some young couple will by this home and have kids and love this home just like I love the home I was raised in. I guess this may sound stupid, but it's how I feel especially when I hand he keys to the new owners and yes they money is pretty great to.

Its not stupid at all to take pride in your work and to be able to create a home that as you said, a young couple will really love and love living in. Plus, that home will be one that the children will remember forever and always consider "home".

To be able to take a rundown old house and turn it into something like you described is indeed creating a masterpiece.
