Default Repairs

Part of your financing on a flip house will most likely be used for repairs and upgrades for the house. Let me tell ya.... things aren't cheap these days!

My mother-in-law is having her sons do some major repairs to her home. She is ripping out all of the old floors and laying down new. Everything from the plywood to carpeting. She is also putting in new kitchen cabinents and so on. Wow, I cannot believe how much things run these days!

One sheet of plywood runs $40 bucks! Thats one sheet!!! I couldn't believe it when she told thats what she paid per sheet! And she had to have lots of sheets!

She was able to get a couple of the bottom cabinents for the kitchen at a reduced price because something was wrong with the drawers. My husband fixed them though so she did get a good deal there.

It just floors me how much home construction items cost! As you can tell, it's been a while since I shopped for plywood lol!

Default Re: Repairs

It is amazing at how much things cost anymore. It can take alot of money to get a house fixed up especially if there has been alot of damage done to the place.

Which is why you should save up and be patient. Prices are always going up and down, and if your patient enough you can wait and save alot of money in the end.

Also purchasing what you need during the off season such as now in the middle of winter you can save alot of money also on alot of things.
