Part of the new bailout money slated for homeowners facing foreclosure?
President Bush and president elect Obama are getting together to get the money from lawmakers in Washington for the $350 bailout.
Bush is going to request the money for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, but Obamas team will present a plan laying out how the money would be run.
More of the money would be slated to go to help homeowners who are facing foreclosure.
There are approximately 9,000 foreclosures that are happening per day in this country right now and perhaps an influx of money to help these homeowners will be able to keep families in their homes. And hopefully slow down the displacement of so many families.
Obama seems to be wanting to come up with a plan that will state just where the $350B money will be going as opposed to the earlier bailout plan which needs a full accounting of just how that money had been used.
