Default FHA loans.

FHA loans can be a blessing to those who have poor credit ratings and little money for a down payment.

The FHA has many sub programs including Habitat for Humanity. This program helps people get homes that normally would never have the opportunity to own one.

I am not sure however about the claims that they can assist persons with poor credit. If you look on the website for habitat for humanity it says that you must have good credit.

It bothers me that these programs that were designed to help people who don't have much get a home hold them back due to their credit rating. I mean doesn't it stand to reason that the poor aren't going to have great credit. It is difficult even for those who have higher incomes to keep a good credit score going.
