Default 3 Million Foreclosures Last year!

I know you are probably tired of hearing about foreclosures, I am too. Thats all we have been hearing about for the past year. It's kind of a hard topic to avaoid though with how many of them there have been. I knew that there were a lot of people who lost their homes but I sure didn't realize how many there actually were.

I just read that there was 3 million foreclosures in 2009! Thats a record and one I hope that we never get close to again!

Here is a chart that I saw on CnnMoney. It shows the four worst hit states with foreclosures in 2009 compared to the rest of the United States.

It that unreal or what!

"As bad as the 2009 numbers are, they probably would have been worse if not for legislative and industry-related delays in processing delinquent loans," said RealtyTrac CEO James Saccacio in a prepared statement.
Fact is, it could have been a lot worse than it was. I hate the fact that we have gone into debt so much further trying to bail everything out but if not for that, who knows how many more millions would have lost their homes.
