Unbelieveable Landlords/ Managers

A friend of mine purchased a mobile home a while ago. During some rough times she became late on her rent in the trailor park.

Because of this the trailor parks manager decided he had the right to take her car, remove her property from her trailer, nail the door shut to her trailor so she couldnt get in and so on!!!

Property removed from the trailer was apparently given away to other people living in the trailor court.

Granted I know she was late on her rent, but this is just going overboard. Now she was away from the trailer for a short time, seeking employment and other help so that she would be able to catch up on everything. Though the parks manager thought that this would be the best time to really rip her off!

Upon her return she went to an attorney to discuss what had happened and she took pictures of the damage that the manager had done to her home while taking items and of course the mess he made of the door when he nailed it shut.

Needless to say that park manager quit his job, we think that he thought that if he did this he wouldnt get into any trouble. Truth is its to late for that.

Most if not all of her property that had been given away was returned and she is attempting at this time to make sure she gets caught up quickly on her rent.

Its amazing what some manager think that they can do to another persons property if it so pleases them. I was completely shocked when I heard about all of this.

I had a landlord like that one time, where I live it is against the law for them to do that even if your way behind not alone little behind, for me it was i gave my 30 day notice that I would be moving but ended up going over by 2 days due to extreme heat so they took some of my stuff and tried to keep it but my couch they broke, the police got involved and made them return what they had and told me to take them to court for anything missing or broken.

It sounds like they get some kind of "power rush" out of doing those things. The "position" of manager must go straight to their heads. I hope she gets everything back and that person pays for all damages!
