Default Rental Properties

There were a few places around me that were for rent but stayed empty because the owners were asking such high prices for rent. Now those places are filled because prices were lowered.

When you live in such a small area like I do, you really can't ask for really high prices for monthly rent. One owner was wanting nearly a grand per month for rent, so no wonder that place stayed empty.

Normal rent in my area is around $300.00 per month give or take some. Now this area still doesn't have many jobs available and most are minimum wage so asking such high rent isn't going to happen.

The people that have moved in around me seem to be very nice and thankfully very quiet. Hopefully that continues on. I hate seeing homes sit empty just rotting away. There are still to many homes waiting for families to move in, but who knows when or if that will ever happen.

I notice a lot of rent prices are higher then the payment would be to buy it from a bank. What are these landlords thinking?

Makes ya wonder doesn't it. Rent has to be set to the areas level of income. People do have to live and not all of their money can be paid into rent.

There are things like water, electricity, food, insurances and what not that are needed.

Though I guess that if they don't want to get these places rented out then asking for an extremely high rent is the way to go.

At least these owners woke up and finally realized what they are doing and got this switched around.

I know people want and need money right now, but there is a right way and a wrong way of getting it.

I am afraid why is it so? I have seen many properties that are more beneficial from that particular property where you live in. So i don't know why the landlord over there have the more expensive as compare to others.
