Default Expensive rent.

Is it me or is rent getting higher and higher. I have been looking at advertisements to help my daughter find another apartment or home to rent.

They are currently paying $650 a month but this includes utilities. The places that I am seeing are $600 to $900 a month and you pay your own utilities.

Now I know that times are tough but this is rediculous as far as I am concerned. Most of the people who are asking these high rents I guess are expecting to live off of this income.

It is economically difficult out there and I know this but there has to be a limit on this kind of behavior. To ask so much for rent and to offer little or nothing to the renter is just too much.

I was listening to a financial radio talk show this morning and they said we are moving toward becoming a nation of renters due to Banks now becoming more and more difficult to hand out mortgages. Perhaps higher demands for renting units is driving prices up.

Seems to be some truth in this..

We have also seen some higher rent prices here in the area I life. Though not a huge jump in prices though.

If your daughter is looking to rent a new place but the rent is to high, speak to the landlord or owner and see about getting the price lowered. There are landlords out there who are willing work with a tenant to get their rentals filled.

If they are trying to charge high prices for their rentals, chances are it going to be difficult for them to get them rented out so they may be willing to lower the prices.

Either way let's face it, it never hurts to try. The worst thing your going to hear is "no".

Yes its all true and it really upsets me to see people doing this but I am guessing that many of them have mortgages of their own that maybe they are trying to cover. I don't know but something has to break or we are going to start seeing tent cities across the nation. Just my opinion.

Tent cities are becoming more and more a possibility right now. Everything is costing so much any more that people are finding them strapped tighter and tighter.

I agree something has to give soon and hopefully it will be the government with a plan that helps people with out it back lashing the people to much!!
