Default Dealing with a tenant.

I have a silly question how does one deal with a tenant who decides that he needs to mow the grass two days before the mowers that you have paid for show up.

I heard of this situation when I visited my daughter. Her landlord pays for lawn service and she has a tenant who does exactly what I just stated. Now I know I myself would be very upset. You know that she didn't know this was going on because the groundkeepers never mentioned it.

To top this off he lives in a basement apartment. It has an entry door but also has a second exit on the side. This little area is used for storage but the door has been kept clear due to the chance of fire.

He has added his things to the pile in their but blocked his exit. It disturbs me that this person is so thoughtless. To his landlord,to my daughter and family and to his own families safety. What would you do?

Default Re: Dealing with a tenant.

Well first off, i would be upset with the groundskeeper for not reporting this and keeping any and all payments!

As for the tenant, has the landlord even talked to them about not mowing? is it their mower or the landlords? If its the landlords, tell her to take it away so he doesn't have access to it....On one hand its nice to have a tenant who will take care of the lawn, maybe the landlord should just hire him to take care of the lawn? As for the blocking of entrance and exits, have him move them or have a fire marshall come and fine him.
