Best Education for Rentals?

Hello,
If I wanted to get a formal education in Real Estate before starting to buy and rent properties, what would be the best education to get? Real Estate Agent? Appraiser? Or just read books and self educate on buying and leasing property?

I would highly recommend reading his book before you decide to jump into being a landlord. I have been involved in property management in the past and it is NO fun unless you really know what your doing. Hope this helps!!
