Default Paint Removal Without Harsh Chemicals

This is neat to see and would he a hell of a lot better than smelling those harsh chemical paint removers that most of us use.

This steam method would be great to use because I would imagine that when people are flipping houses they most likely come across some places in homes where the paint is so thick that it would be a whole lot of work to remove and would take a lot of chemicals to get it all off.

Though it looks like that if you use this steam method it would save time, energy and there wouldn't be the need to use chemical paint strippers.

I have used paint strippers before and the smell and mess is horrible. I never liked to use them. Though using this steam method would be much easier for me to do and much less mess.

I think I need to purchase a steamer soon because there are a few projects around the house here that could use a good cleaning and a nice new coat of paint, rather than attempting to add yet another layer of paint on something.

Thanks for sharing that video. How much faster and easier and cleaner the steam method of paint removal would be.

Be sure though to wear protective clothing, a mask, and safety glasses and gloves as you are working with live steam and you can be burned.

I have had situations where this mode of paint removal would have really come in handy as a few things I have removed paint on had numerous layers of paint that needed removing and I had to sand and we all know how messy that could be.

Also, the man mentioned the protection from leadbased paint in the video and lead based paint can be extremely dangerous especially if there are children around.

I agree there have been a few times that steam paint removal would have also saved me a whole lot of work in the past.

Though at least we all know about it now and can put it to good use if we have need for it.

I really do like the idea for using steam to remove the paint, I have used some chemicals that even though I was outside I could still clearly smell it and even at times would get dizzy from it.

When that kind of stuff happened it would put my project on hold because I of course could not be around it til I felt myself again.

I can't say when I will have need of removing paint again, but if I do I am going to use steam to do it.
